Cisco Network on Wheels (NOW) Bus Visits Accudata Systems
HOUSTON, TX, JUNE 1, 2006 -- Today, Accudata Systems, Inc., a leading IT consulting and integration firm, proudly hosted the arrival of the Cisco Network on Wheels (NOW) tour bus at its corporate headquarters in Houston. Accudata Systems customers throughout the Houston area stopped by to meet their account managers and inside sales representatives, enjoy a fajita lunch with all of the trimmings, and then explore Cisco’s latest technology offerings inside the NOW tour bus.
Representing Accudata Systems was Tom Scire, Practice Manager for Infrastructure and IP telephony. “The NOW bus is a great way for current and prospective Cisco customers to keep up with the fast-moving fields of Voice over IP (VoIP) and Network Security. The bus gives everyone the opportunity for some hands-on experience with all of the latest VoIP equipment and network security devices,” said Tom.
The bus displayed a full array of Cisco IP phones ranging from the cost-effective, single-line model 7912 to the multi-featured model 7970 with color display. A similarly robust slate of network security devices were displayed, including Cisco Security Agent and Cisco NAC Appliance (formerly Cisco Clean Access). Cisco Security Agent is designed to protect servers and desktops from threats and malicious behavior, while Cisco NAC Appliance enforces security policy compliance on all devices seeking to access network computing resources.
